Week 4!!! All Is Well

"All is Well"

There area lot of little changes that happened this week.

This week I have been able to communicate all my thoughts to those I have been teaching in Korean. It is really awesome because I am now able to change the direction of the lesson according to there needs and the promptings of the Spirit. I no longer have to push those things aside because I only know the specific words for the lesson I plan before hand. I can feel the Lord aiding me in my efforts to change the lesson as need.

But, on the flip side of being able to just speak, without planning before hand, I have found myself spending less and less time preparing the lessons. The lessons still go really well and I can help bring the Spirit into the hearts of those I am teaching, but at the beginning I had to work really hard to just say "What hobbies do you have?" and "God loves you." I was giving it my all. Even though my all wasn't very much, the Lord blessed me for giving it everything I had.

So, I guess what I am trying to say is, because my communicating in Korean is decent and I am becoming more and more familiar with Korean, I can feel myself getting comfortable. And you know that when you are getting comfortable, you aren't giving it your all, you aren't growing and changing as much as you could be. And it is when you are giving it your all, the Lord brings Miracles and the Spirit can impact you and your investigator like you have never felt before. I have learned that every lesson you give should bring new revelation to you and those you are teaching.

We have a bunch of greenies (new missionaries)! That's new! What is special about this group is there is they aren't all Elders from America, 2 elders and 3 sisters from Korea, and the first sister ever from Japan going to Korea! Sister Takemura is now technically a part of my district! She is a solo missionary in her district and when she isn't with her district she is companions with the sisters in my district. What is so inspiring about her that has motivated me to work harder is she is the first ever to do what she is doing, she only knows Japanese and she has to learn Korean with English to Korean teachers and zone members. And, she is progressing amazingly!! If she can learn Korean at that pace, knowing only Japanese, using English to Korean textbooks, then I know I could doing better! So it is fun to have a new"ish" member of our district!

Another thing that is new is, I got sick on Thursday, and it goes from better and to worse.  It is a throat and nasal sickness and has been going around in my "age" districts. I don't want to be graphic, but it is a little hard to sleep and teach. My companions have been really nice about it. Elder Anderson is like my own personal doctor. And, it has been sort of nice to be able have extra study time during exercise time.

But, to end on a good note, what is new to me everyday is how I can more clearly recognize the Spirit and it's promptings daily. Writing down every prompting has help me remember and better recognize the promptings I receive. I love every second here at the MTC. Everyone here is soooo united and loving.

I am from this moment forward using every drop of my energy toward God's will and my purpose!

사랑합니다!!

#1 Me and my companions all wear blue on P-day, that's how united we are!!!!!

#2 On our way to teach a lesson! The sunset is BEAUTIFUL. (If you look hard you can see the 2 Sisters in our district leading the way with my Favorite teach Brother MOON following)

#3 Great studying spot with a great view!!!!

#4 I got to host this last Wednesday!!!! It was soooo much fun!!! I was really eager to help settle missionaries, and got to host 5 newbies! (Same day all the greenies came in for our district, everyone was soo eager to meet them, and in our district we were excited to have the Japanese sister partially in our District!)

#5 Sister Cook, was soooo kind to give us gifts and celebrate our 3rd week in the MTC

#6 LOL I love Elder Kershaw!!!! (he is in the group just "older" than mine) Some of the Elders trying to find out what each Elder's spirit animal is and Elder Kershaw was an Eewalk
(The cute little bear aliens in Star War) and I agree fully!!

#7 We were matching again and the Sisters in our district found it soooo charming. So they had use take a picture in our classroom.

#8 As I said before Brother Moon is the best! He wrote he beautiful message on the board before we all got to class, and it just made our day!!!

#9 The sisters in our District have been soo welcoming to their new companion, Sister Takemura. (she is so optimistic and pleasant, she was meant to be the first Sister to go to Korea from Japan) (If you guys don't know there is a lot of tension between Japan and Korea and when she first opened her letter her parent weren't Happy. And, Sister Takemura's response was I need to follow Nephi's example and do as the Lord commands)

#10 I am still sick, but my spirit will not be held back by my physical form!!!!!
