Week 38

HEY!~ It is has been a fantastic transfer with Elder McKinnon! We both are on the same page really want to accomplish the will of the Lord. We hear often from people that we look so much alike and act a lot alike. That is fine by me! Makes things easier when it comes to being one!

The good news came and Elder McKinnon and I are staying together for this next transfer as well. We are excited to work our guts out. We don't want to stay still. We want to always keep changing and growing to be more like Him.

I love Korea and great things await us! I know that if we put our faith in the Savior then all things are possible!!

Being a missionary is a dream come true! I don't know if I could ever say goodbye. I really will Forever be a Missionary at Seoul!!!!!!!!!!!

Videos
We go weekly to the old nursing home to sing songs to the grandmas, but sometimes we get treated with songs back!

If you don't understand them that is alright, but my favorite part is after the Grandma sings, she says 됐어! Desoe! Which means I did it!! Or all done! I always say hi to every single Grandma on the street because the are so sweet. And, straight up, the cutest things ever! On the streets if you say to a Grandma "Hello!" then they instantly spit back to us foreigners "예버!~" yea-bo!! [Pretty, Oh your so pretty!] )

We found a secret spot on the border of our area on accident and I was in AWE! I love nature! (There are quite a few pictures of this place)

There is a shop in Korea that is a whole floor of ties!! It is tie heaven!!

Here in Korea they like a little sparkle on their ties, some of them are a little to much for me, but some of them are 👌

Eating out on P-day! With Recent converts

The border of our area is like a secret Paradise!!!

Some of them are really blurry my bad! This is the first Buddhist temple I have seen here in Korea that is not up in the hills. I like the Art though!

Riding a taxi home from institute. When I was on exchanges, we got to go with recent converts to institute. I felt like I was back in Seminary, but it was thrilling because I had to listen carefully to understand everything. And, for the most part I understood it all!

Mongolian Baby!!!! She said her first word and it was Korean! She is going to be extremely bilingual!

시장 She-Jawng! In Korea they have cities where people sell there own stuff on the streets. But we found a place that is a whole store set up like the streets of people selling what they have

Basketball! As missionaries here we set up ward basketball! Just like they have it in the Americas

Chinese Investigator!~ I can say "Hello", "Thank you", "I am a missionary", "I can't speak Chinese", "I am a foreigner from America", "You are handsome", and my favorite "Miracles will happen!" in Chinese. What is fun about him is that we speak Korean to each other to communicate, and it is our 2nd Languages. So when we teach we have to really speak clearly

Week 37

This last week, we did not meet any of our Investigators. Because a lot of the people we meet with are students we could not meet with them. Right now every Korean Student is going crazy and studying hard for the big Midterm exam week this week. But even though it was that way, we were able to sneak into their busy schedules by Video Calls. I am really thankful for our devices to be able to help those who are really busy to continue progressing.

All of the Members are crazy busy too. But, because of our devices we are able to help support them and they have been so kind recently in helping us become more fluent and natural with Korean. I love all the people here in Korea!~

I am extremely grateful for the chance to have such amazing leaders with a higher vision than I do! As a missionary, when you are down in the struggle of missionary work, your vision for what is to be done, or how you should work, always gets foggy and you can only see so much. But, with the help of God's elect leaders, who are more in tune with the Spirit and can see the bigger picture, we are given hope!!! And, even though their words don't always make complete sense to us, we must have trust. A firm faith that they understand the will of God better than we do.

I know that when we all have trust in the Prophet, Stake President's, Bishops, or Mission Presidents, then we will see miracles in our lives. They are God's mouthpiece on Earth for the areas that they are given authority to watch over. I know that when we have hard times we need to pray and ponder it out for ourselves. But, I also know that if we learn to turn to our leaders for help and guidance in those time when we are struggling, then we will receive more hope and inspiration in what we should do.

I am forever thankful for those with authority from God and honor it, by staying worthy and by being a seeker of righteousness.

Love to you all from Korea!

I am trying to learn how to make Korean food and it isn't shabby. But, I still need lots of help.

Mission Activity for the holiday

If you look closely you see that there is no "4" it is because 4 is bad luck here in Korea (fUN fACT)

An Apostle is coming to just our Stake!~ We have no clue why, but we sure are excited

These memorable books are even in Korea!!

My Comp just taking random pictures of me studying

The rest of the pics are from doing Ultimate Frisbee with some Elders!I was a lot of fun, we played for like 2 hrs and 30 mins!

A bakery we get bread from on P-days!! It is so good!! Reminds me of the bread our family gets from Wildflower Bakery~ My taste buds will never go back to normal after being spoiled with all that delicious bread from back home!

Going to a Meat Buffet with Investigators in the area is the best~ They have nothing like this in America!

The Stake President in the area is extremely rich, and so when he wants to discuss with us missionaries about how to improve the area he takes us out to a buffet! We are spoiled.

I love all the flowers here in the Spring!

Satan is really good at distracting people with phones. A lot of the times when we are riding the subway this is what you see. People stuck to their screens. but, thank goodness for the Spirit that brings light into our eyes and prompts them to talk.

Elder McKinnon Loves Boong-O-Bang. They are fish shaped pastries. You get 6 for a $1.

Exchanges with Elder Faatea! We made cookies but... haha they didn't turn out well haha. So we just cut them up and called them Cookie Brittles. I think our neighbors think that we are really weird now. It actually was a ball to make and give these out because we both have only been here for under 6 months. It is just funny to see peoples' reactions to foreigners try speaking to speak to them. Haha!

I love the art here in Korea (the walls)

Eating real Chinese food with a recent convert!~ I have actually been learning some Chinese! It is surprisingly simple. The grammar is exactly the same as English, unlike Korean.

Solid  Mongolian members here!

Even after the exchange Elder Faatea had some more cooking fails.

I love Korea!
